Privacy Policy

Effective 13 October 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Fastest Lap app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Maksym Bilan (collectively, the "Application"). Maksym Bilan is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application does not collect, log, or store any personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required, and there are no accounts. If the Application is used with an active internet connection, technical protocol data (such as your ephemeral IP address) is transmitted to facilitate network connectivity, but this data is not retained or used for tracking.

Everything the Application records about your driving stays on your device: lap times, personal bests, ghost recordings, career progress, the car you picked, and your settings. None of it is uploaded by the Application, and all of it is removed when you delete the app.

Three things sit outside that, and each has its own section below: Game Center, which is optional; purchases, which Apple handles; and this website, which counts visits.

Game Center

If you sign in to Game Center, the Application submits your lap times to per-circuit leaderboards and reports achievement progress. That goes to Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and it is entirely optional — declining leaves the Application fully playable, with your times still kept on the device.

Purchases

The Application sells one non-consumable unlock. The payment itself is handled by Apple; the Service Provider never sees your card details, name or billing address.

Whether you have bought the unlock is checked with Apple, on the device, through the App Store. No other company is involved, and nothing about it reaches the Service Provider.

Earlier versions of the Application managed purchase state through RevenueCat, which received a randomly generated app user ID and the App Store receipt for the purchase. That identifier was not linked to an account, an email address, or anything you had told the Service Provider. Current versions send RevenueCat nothing; updating the Application is enough to stop it.

This website

This site sets no cookies. It stores one thing in your browser's local storage — your chosen language — so the page opens in it next time. Clearing site data removes it. The trailer is the one thing that can change that, and only if you ask it to; see The trailer below.

It does count visits, using Google Analytics for Firebase, and it is set up not to identify you: browser storage is switched off for it, so no analytics cookie is written and nothing is kept on your device between page loads. The advertising features are switched off as well, and no data from this site is used for advertising or shared with advertisers. What is recorded is the page you opened, roughly where in the world the request came from, the kind of device and browser, the site that referred you, and whether you clicked a link off the site — the App Store link in particular — changed language, or pressed play on the trailer. Because nothing is stored on your device, a second visit cannot be told apart from a first one — the numbers count visits, not people.

The trailer. The trailer on the home page is a still picture and a button until you press it. Nothing is requested from YouTube before that — no player, no thumbnail, no connection of any kind — so a visit that scrolls past it does not reach YouTube at all. Pressing play loads the video from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's host for embeds without advertising cookies. From that moment YouTube receives your IP address and may store data on your device in order to play the video, under Google's privacy policy. The "watch on YouTube" link beside the player is the same trade, made on purpose.

The site is served by Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard request logs including IP addresses, in the ordinary way any web server does. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

The mailing list is closed. Before the game was released this site offered a "notify me" form, and the addresses given to it are still held in Google Cloud Firestore. They are used for the one purpose they were collected for — a single message saying the game is out — and for nothing else, and they are not sold, rented or shared with anyone. The form itself is gone: the site no longer asks for an email address and no longer has any way to store one. To have an address already on that list deleted, write to m4xbilan@gmail.com.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The Application itself collects no personal information, so normal play produces nothing to pass on. Data reaches a third party only in the three cases described above, and only for the purpose named there:

No data is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. The Application — the game itself — contains no analytics or advertising SDK; the visit counting described above is on this website only, and nothing the game records ever reaches it.

What are my opt-out rights?

Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, uninstalling it simply removes the Application from your device.

Game Center submissions stop if you do not sign in, or if you sign out. A mailing-list address is deleted on request. If you contact the Service Provider directly or voluntarily provide information by other means, you may request deletion of that information by contacting m4xbilan@gmail.com.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children's data is not at risk from use of the Application alone. If you voluntarily provide personal information through other means and are under 13 years of age, your parent or guardian must provide consent on your behalf where permitted by law.

Security

Because the Application does not collect personal data, the risk of personal data exposure is minimal. However, no security system is completely secure. The Service Provider implements reasonable safeguards to protect systems and any data it holds.

Data Breach Notification

Since the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal data is minimal. If a breach occurs involving any data you have voluntarily provided, the Service Provider will notify you as required by applicable law.

Changes

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with an effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect.

Previous versions of this Privacy Policy will be maintained and made available upon request by contacting the Service Provider at m4xbilan@gmail.com.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-13.

Your Consent

If you voluntarily provide information to the Service Provider and processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
